They have an easy website to see all of your insurance information as well as open case. You can also make a clam on their website which is nice because you don't always have to immediatley talk to a person
I have no complaints about this company. They could check with me during the policy year to see if I have questions or concerns with the policy. I never get any communication from them other than the policy renewal yearly.
I like that United P & C offers competitive rates in my market. I live in an area that has been in the path of 2 hurricanes in the past 3-5 years so rates can be pretty high.
overall, we have been completely satisfied with our interactions and communication with Universal Property & casualty insurance company.
I like their availability and pricing. Customer service has been good thus far. I have not had to make a claim. They are inexpensive and give me plenty of payment options.
I like that our coverage is complete and we are covered in most instances. I also like that they communicate directly with our mortgage company at renewal so we don’t have to do anything to continue or pay for coverage it’s all included in our mortgage payment.
What I dislike is the communication with the company. A lot of places will communicate with you and offer you money saving tips and stuff but our does not. I feel as though we are not valued because of this as there is no indication that we even exist with them other than them getting our money.
I found Universal at a time when I was disgusted with home insurance. Universal turned out to be a genuine company who didn't try to oversell me insurance. It is a company that I can depend on and that I know will cover me for exactly what I need.
I filed a claim with the hurricanes last year that they did not pay and now a year later when it is time to renew they are calling wanting pics showing that I made repairs on damages that they paid out or they wont renew the policy. I think that is crazy that they waited a year and even crazier since they did not pay to repair the damage.
It satisfies the requirement that we have insurance, and hopefully, they would come through if we did have catastrophic damage, but I don't know. I don't have faith that they would or wouldn't.
They are based in Florida and I don't have a sense of how big, reliable, friendly, etc they are.
I am just dissatisfied the way that they do things. I have had them over 20 years and have filed a claim 2 times and both times they have given me issues like it was the end of the world asking them for help
At this point, I have not had any negative experiences with Universal. The only thing that is a bit primitive about the company is that you have to mail in your payments. There is no option to pay online.
