State Farm is a very easy insurance company to work with. My local agent is always more than willing to answer any question I may have regarding my policies. He takes time to make sure I understand my coverage and makes recommendations for new products that I can actually use.

I do like the fact that State Farm is a large company and so far has been able to sustain all of the losses associated with the number of natural disasters that seem to be occurring. So far I have not had to worry much about them. They were one of the lower options when I initially quoted and continue to stay relatively around the same price annually. Their payment plan through my home loan carrier makes it easy to maintain. They do not really reward loyalty. I have been a customer for a long time and instead of being rewarded my premium has gone up a little each year. They also automatically renew your premium at a super high rate unless you log in and cancel the renewal and then contact them to negotiate the rate. This is not a direct criticism but more of an unseen circumstance or anxiety regarding uncertainty, but I worry that in some cases, if we were to become involved in a certain incident, we may have a long and painful process with this insurance company before we get compensation for our damages.

The attempts at upselling are annoying. I don't like when he says I have to come into the office to finalize stuff yet I don't sign anything. So it's a wasted trip. I'd like more disconnect.

There is nothing that I do not dislike about the company. I am a newer customer. Also, I have not had to file any claim. My deductibles are what I expect and everything is going smoothly.

I would prefer that the mobile app be a little better about being faster and contain more information that I need. I would prefer that my agent be easier to get a hold of, rather than having to talk to a 1-800 agent. I also dislike that it takes a lot of paperwork to file a claim.

Our home is manufactured, and when we moved here from our regular home, that was 3 times the size, double the coverage, and 50 years older, our premium went up. I understand that the quality and longevity of a manufactured home is not the same as a regular home, but I still think this difference is ridiculous.

I wish they would be more upfront about what they will and won't cover. It's good practice to be open and honest about what you need to ask for when you are getting coverage. not to be told that you will only cover that if the person specifically asks for it when they sign up.

I am disappointed with my agent. I am not really sure what the purpose of an agent is. They pretty much refer you to corporate when ever you have a problem and just want to sell you additional policies. The premium is continually rising each year, even though they say you are getting a discount.

All of the staff, including the main agent, are very kind and polite. However, there are 2 that work there that make me call the 800 number more than going in. One is that rude woman I spoke about and the second is this really dumb guy. He's nice of course but has no clue what he's doing. He can't even apply for a payment correctly. He applied one of my payments to someone else's account and I was getting threatened with termination of my insurance. The issue was resolved and fixed but still though.
