Ways to Save on Homeowners Insurance Cost in Saginaw, MI

In Saginaw, MI homeowners pay an average home insurance rate of $1569. Homeowners in Saginaw can use discounts offered by different companies to reduce their rates further. To save money on your monthly payments homeowners can take advantage of discounts offered by some of the leading insurers in town like Nationwide and State Farm for a lower cost than what is currently being charged.

A newly constructed Saginaw home can enjoy $258 off on homeowners insurance. Houses are at their lowest propensity to damage when they're new, which is why companies offer attractive discounts for these homes as well. In contrast, older houses attract higher rates of repair and maintenance costs - a cost that's reflected in the price of your homeowner’s insurance premium and leads them to be charged an additional fee. For instance Saginaw homes older than 40 and 50 years receive an additional charge of $23 and $34, respectively, on home insurance.

Homeowners in Saginaw pay a small additional amount of $18 on their insurance premiums by installing a swimming  pool. Installing self-latching and self-closing gates around the pool also benefits your insurance rates and insurance companies provide discounts for the same. Additionally, senior citizens receive discounts on home insurance rates so it is a perk  that a household has at least one person over 50 years old living there.Homeowners who don't smoke or live with smokers may be eligible for an additional discount from certain companies too.

Although most of the factors that determine discounts cannot be controlled by  homeowners, they can benefit most by choosing deductibles to reduce home insurance rates. Homeowners can avail of attractive discounts by opting for higher deductibles. Saginaw homeowners paying a high deductible of $2,500 can avail of a discount of $251.33 on homeowners insurance. Homeowners receive discounts of $210.51 and $141.35, respectively, on deductibles of $2,000 and $1,500.

Homeowners in Saginaw who have a claims-free history with their home insurance company can receive discounts on their premiums.Homeowners with prior claims can pay more for factors such as the number and type of claims. By providing a history of zero claim, homeowners pay an additional amount on their premiums in Saginaw of $374.325 or $142.6 respectively based on two fire damage incidents or water-damage incidents they have experienced previously.

Latest Home Insurance Reviews

Meemic Insurance
Our premium with Meemic was lower than with Allstate. The difference was less than $20 for home owners insurance, but we got a much better deal on our auto policy.
all insurances provide similar coverage and deductible. My issue is if i pay for insurance already why is there a deductible.
Wolverine Mutual Insurance
I like that my insurance company is very affordable and offers an excellent value for what we pay, especially considering we bundle our home insurance with our car insurance which saves us even more money! i also like that it is very easy to communicate with our insurance agent and anytime there has been any kind of question or concern, all i have to do is give him a call and he has an answer for me right away and can help me with my needs. i've never had to wait for more than a few days to get paid for a claim.
I would recommend this insurance since they have a lot of option that you can only pay what you need, customer service is good too.
Foremost Insurance
I am completely satisfied. We have an older home and do not qualify for some policies until we do some updates. Foremost was able to write me a policy so that we could close.
Auto Owners Insurance
I do recommend my insurance company to others. I am very happy with my agent and well as all of the coverage that I currently have. At the present, I do not look to change my insurance.
I would recommend Allstate insurance to any homeowner I previously had insurance with another company, but was dropped because I have a pit bull. They were more than happy to assist and my new premium is lower.
Would definitely recommend due to the awesome customer service, reasonable rates and bundling options. Also when we filed a claim they responded quickly and fairly.
The customer service I have received from Allstate has hit both ends of the spectrum at times. When taking a payment or making a policy change, it's fine.they are often lacking.
My previous insurance company's mobile app was somewhat slow and annoying to work with, whereas my current situation is a lot faster and smoother.
The prices for progressive compare mostly with State Farm Insurance and it was hard for me to choose between
Liberty Mutual
they are very considerable in their services to their customers, they allow installment payment if the client does not have full payment.
I previously had home insurance through a local company in my area. I was paying too much money for my policy and I felt like the company was not reliable or reputable. Under my current policy with Allstate I have no complaints.
I would recommend this company for home insurance because they are a small agency dedicated to pleasing their customers and making sure they get more bang for their buck,
I was informed that geico's policies aren't guaranteed to be renewable so there will always be a chance i'll be jumping ship to another company if my rates increase enough to warrant it.
State Farm
I use it to pay bills and look at insurance info when needed. So, it does all the things I typically need to do.
State Farm
Premiums are too high but it's almost a catch 22 because if you need it and don't have it you're screwed.
They are fine, I think cheaper than other companies. I think $1,000 deductible is too high. But that's insurance.
They have a big name and multiple offerings which allows me to have one point of contact for all of my needs.
I don't know too much about other insurance providers and the options they provide their customers. However, I would rate AllState as a 5 when it comes to what they offer customers.
