I like that they are friendly and knowledgeable. I like that they are always there when we have questions or concerns. They don't bother us with lots of calls or emails about "how are you liking this or that, would you like to add change coverage, etc."

I am very satisfied with the coverage I get for my home at an affordable price. I am even more impressed with the customer service that my insurance provider offers. If I ever have an issue they always help me to get everything straightened out right away.
We had business with them for over 20 years. I like how easy is the claim process and also the agent we deal with is great.
As mentioned previously, USAA is always helpful to service members and knows the difficulties that we face. I appreciate their customer service and genuine concern anytime I've ever called for assistance.
My agent is nearby and is familiar with my needs, and again -- I can't stress this enough -- the staff at the office is top-notch. I always end up having a personal conversation with them when I go in to make changes to my policy and that's just fantastic customer service, I think. It's very rare in this day when everything is so depersonalized.

This company is an overall good company with both homeowners insurance and car insurance. They take their time and assist you with any problems and concerns and they make sure that you are covered any your claims are taken seriously

There is very little I dislike about the insurance company. It would be nice to see a proactive approach to providing discounts for longevity, accident-free, and other non-event situations that lower their liability.
Filing a claim or needing any help you will be disappointed. They have claim agents that don't return phone calls or answer your questions. You will be left with unanswered questions for months with no resolution on a claim.
The people are very nice. When I call they always are able to help me. There was a problem with the owner once and they helped me get covered with a different carrier because they wouldn't cover me.
I feel that they provide sufficient communication with regard to policy changes, new products, and new services. They don't inundate me with email, mailings, of phone calls.
They always answer the phone and connect me with the right person. They get back to me in a timely manner.

I had a claim for property damage from a construction company working next door that damaged my house. My insurance agents kept giving me the run around for a year. Until I filed a claim with the Department of Insurance and received my money a week later.

It is a great company overall. They presented me with multiple options and were very experienced and nice. Also, they save me a lot of money.
I have never had a problem with Nationwide. They gave me a decent policy when I bought my house, and I have never thought to change that. Of course, because I don't actually pay the bill (the bank does) this is not something I think about. But I have had the same policy for 5 years.

What I like about this company is that they are available when I need them and when I call them they make sure that my questions are fully answered to their best abilities.
Even though I get a discount for being with the company a long time, I think I pay too much. There are things in there I don't feel I need. They say they are included in the discount. I think I would rather have less for less.
I think they are bundling too much. I wish they would just give me a discount on a cheaper plan and bundle. Also, they make me pay 10 extra a month to make monthly payments.
I like the company because my parents used it and when the house became mine, they helped with the transition.
I have not investigated other insurance company premiums for comparable coverage recently. When I did several years ago, rates were comparable, and those that were less did not justify the difficulty associated with moving all coverage to a new policy/company.
I dislike when the rates go up when nothing on the market has changed, but other insurance companies go up.

The overall company is pleasant the only thing is with car insurance if you miss a payment they will cancel you even if you've been with them for several years no matter what so that part of the company is not so great.
I am not sure how good State Farm is. As I stated above I went with the first company that offered me insurance and got back to me first. I am not too familiar with insurance processes and I needed to move into my home as soon as possible at the time. I am not going to seek other deals from other companies since I don't have the time nor the patience to learn what I am being offered. I usually have trust issues when it comes to salespeople.
I am pretty indifferent with State Farm. I have never filed a claim but when the time comes and I need to reach out for assistance I think it's going to be an interesting phone call considering I really don't have any idea about the insurance process.
Overall, Nationwide seems fine. it is a decent price and similar enough coverage so that I have not shopped around in the last 6 months

There is truly nothing that I can complain about. I'm seriously satisfied with nationwide and don't have a bad thing to say.
I dislike that they haven't changed our rate in over 5+ years. We have not had to file a home claim and the premium remains the same.

I would appreciate more customer loyalty. Lower policy amounts and smaller premiums would always be appreciated. when you've been with a company for quite a few years they really should have it reflect in payment schedules.

I do not dislike Nationwide, I dislike the agent and his lack of interest and knowledge.
I dislike that there has been miscommunication between my actual agency and the higher agency that they deal with. One time we showed a lapse in coverage because of an error in the computer system. Obviously, this was very unsettling, but it did get sorted out quite quickly.
At one point, they keep on reassigning our agent to another one. The one that we assigned to was horrible. She claims that she could lower our house insurance rate but she has to terminate our policy and have people come to look at the house before she could issue a policy. It ended up was a big mess that we have to tear a shed down, trim our trees to like barely naked. The company doesn't need to switch agent with us. I think the one we have now have more seniority so we didn't have to hoop through this mess again.
The only drawback that I would mention is the fact that finding a branch is sometimes difficult. Being able to talk to someone face to face would be beneficial in some cases, but most interactions are done online with USAA.
I question the decisions from the parent company regarding automatic payments (they just started charging for that service) and I think the minor glitches on the website need to be looked at.

I really do wish they would send us paperwork about our policy and the premiums as consistently as our car insurance. I also wish the premiums were a little lower, but again they are on par with other companies so I know we are not getting screwed.
Sometimes my company give pressure to their workers to get extra production, at that time we think this company not worth like that.

The only complaint I have about the company is they get our bill to us without alot of time to pay it. Because our insurance is paid through our mortgage that caused a difficulty one year because the bank did not have the turnaround time it needed.

Nationwide could be a be a bit more affordable especially considering how long we have been with them. Just recently they have added another fee to our bill that seems to be out of sheer greed, a trait I despise in dealing with companies.
The only negative thing I have to say about Nationwide is that when I bought my homeowner's policy, Nationwide harassed me to add my car. This went on for months that I was getting a call from a separate agent about switching my car insurance. In hindsight, it was a little silly to not have them under the same policy; however, I really liked GEICO at the time. You can't beat their claims process.
I wish they would cut down on all the junk emails they send me. I would like to see more emails sent to me that are relevant to me and the products I currently have with them. But, that is such a small complaint compared to all that I do have with them that is a great positive experience.
There is little I don't like about Nationwide. They have always been fair to us about coverage.
I dislike pretty much everything. First, their prices are inflated. Second, they have a horrible relationship with customers. When I called for help 5 years ago after our agent was fired, I was clueless and they didn't help me any.
we had a rain storm & they did not cover anything that got damage from the flood, was so bad!
