Positive Reviews & Ratings
Generally speaking, I get great prices, service, and support from Metlife. I do not see myself changing company's anytime soon as I have no complaints.
Well it's an insurance company so i don't really have an opinion other than my interaction with them and that so far has been really positive
I like that you get a really good product at a not very expensive rate. The product and customer service are worth the price of the premium
They have a good reputation and so far every interaction with them has been very pleasant. I've never had a problem.
My only reason for switching to MetLife is because the rates were the lowest I could find. Other than that I feel that all insurance companies are the same. MetLife Corporation for the years of loyalty and protection for our family. We have been clients of MetLife Corporation for more than a decade. Through tough times and good, MetLife has been by our side
The company is good to work with. It seems the reps I talk to are empowered and knowledgeable. I dislike when reps have to put you on hold to answer basic questions. This does not really happen with MetLife.
Not much that I dislike so far. When I added a car for my daughter the auto insurance premiums went way up but as a young driver, I guess that's normal until they get experience behind the wheel. Related to Homeowners insurance there is not much I dislike at this point but I think their premiums could be more competitive with my local market. A smaller insurance company would save me money.
The customer service department is very friendly and talkative. I don't mind speaking to them on the phone and signing up was a breeze. I have never had an incident with them.
I like that they are a very hands-off company. Communication only occurs when necessary without any spam mail.
Comparing to other companies MetLife company's home insurance premium amount is better. In other companies we need to pay more money.
It is easy to navigate and has easy access to policy information. I can make policy changes online as well.
Last year I added an Auto to my policy and they made it a very easy process for me.
I really can't think of anything bad to say about the company, they've been great so far
Everything I liked except their customer care's frequent call. Apart from that their customer service and way of approaching is too good.
Very responsive and informative. No issues with communication from MetLife reps. If they don't answer calls are returned within 24 hours.
My only issue is the long waits/hold times when trying to reach a live person by phone. The wait times and hold music gets very unnerving and has led me to hanging up due to the time I've had to hold.
The adjuster and claims assistants are great. Very helpful and friendly. They seem to know the claims process is stressful and they are there to help provide repair.
SO far this is the first claim I have had with MetLife and it has been a fairly painless process. A little stressful with the water damage but the insurance company has provided a good quote to cover the costs of repair. Also covers loss of use for the time the repairs are going on.
I believe their coverage is exceptional. I hope to never have to file a claim but I fully believe everything will go smoothly if I needed to.
They offer the most varied option such as sinkhole coverage on our home. They are also very reasonable on all of the cars and the agent has been extremely helpful in every interaction.
they make it easy to pay, communicate, and get more information on our claim. They are very informative and competent staff and I greatly appreciate our premium being deducted before taxes
I am satisfied overall with MetLife. I have had the insurance on two vehicles and my new home for approximately 1.5 years. We built our home and completed it this year. MetLife provided the construction insurance as well while we were building it and we turned it into homeowners insurance once the house was completed.
Great coverage, great policy info and price. They just need to make the website more user friendly and accessible
I love that my bills are accessible 24/7 and that a representative is always available, no matter the time. They are always courteous and professional.
I like the affordability and quality of customer service.
The website is modern and easy to use overall. I am able to get the information I am looking for easily and like the overall look of the site.
I shopped around and found out that MetLife’s premium to be the most reasonable of the 3 companies I looked at.
So far I have liked working with them overall, but there are some things I would like to see change. I will look around again to see if others can beat their price.
Customer service of this company is too good. Customer support is available for 24/7. We will get a solution within that day
I don't like their calls. From database they will take our number and call weekly twice or thrice and ask me to suggest few friends.
I wish they would have chat option on their website and offer me a cheaper rate overall on the price. It would be nice to have these options.
In company's website they were not explaining about the plans. If we want to know the plan then we need to contact respective person
MOstly satisfied with the website. I recently had homeowners claim and could not find any updated info on the claim or the adjuster estimate online. It was all done through phone calls.
I like that they are always available to help me and they are affordable for me. No problems so far on my end.
I wish that you could do more with it. You cannot make that many changes to the policy within the website/app.
I have shopped around and I have a very good rate.
I have no complaints with the customer service. We recently had homeowners claim and it was handled very promptly and satisfactorily.
I think I pay more to use MetLife as compared to a smaller insurance company with less overhead. But the service and comfort of knowing I had good coverage are worthwhile. I know my claims are covered.
I dislike that their website and app are not that creative or useful. I dislike that there isn't a local representative that I can build a personal relationship with.
I like that the company is friendly and simple to use. They provide a good service that makes me feel secure about being insured in my home. I don't think that I am paying an excessive amount either.
I would say I am at a 4 with the rating scale for my home insurance company. They have great prices and are knowledgeable as well as extremely helpful. My only issue that would get me to give them a rating of 5 is the long hold times when trying to reach a live representative on their toll free line. It can be very long waits which gets very frustrating.
Indifferent - never had to use them for anything. At this point I only pay them because my loan requires it.
I like the service and how easy it is to get claims reported and settled. I also like the premium.
Overall the interaction and communication work well. They send occasional emails, but they do not overburden me. they also happy that I don't really get any paper mail from them.
I don't like that there is not a real agent.
Really and like in everything that is based and I know that every day are willing to renew and keep adding improvements for our benefit
The pricing is comparable to others but I wish I was paying less then what I am paying currently. I feel like it is always going up and never going down.
They give me different options like email and calling, but I wish they had more options like chat on their website which I would prefer to use compared to other options.
I dislike having them tell me how to keep my property when it been this way since I moved in 20 years ago. I dislike rude instance agents.
This company is making me remove trees and vines that have been around this house for 20 plus years. Other insurance companies never had a problem with the trees or vines.
The insurance rep that came to look over our property had an "I'm better than you" attitude. He wasn't very pleasant to deal with and when I called to complain about him I was informed that he has had complaints before.
I don't use their app, I just go straight to the website online. My phone is already filled with apps and I don't have much room left in memory.
I like that I'm paying $100 less a year but I'm not sure if it's worth it to have them come and tell me I have to rip out trees that are older than the house itself. I don't like that they keep employing someone who has an attitude problem and has had several complaints about him.
I have had other insurance companies in the past and this one isn't much different. The premium is about $100 less than my last company.
It is not the interaction but the lack thereof. I don't hear anything from them unless there is an issue or premium renewal.
Like other insurance companies, they charge your premium including your credit score. I do not think that is right or fair.
I appreciate that they price matched my premium in 2017 to earn my business after Mapfree decided to try to increase it by almost 100.00.
I like everything, I have not had any problem with the company
I like that they correspond through the regular mail and that their correspondence is very infrequent. I don't need to hear from them every five minutes and be advertised to. If I want something from them I know where to look and it seems like nothing in my policy will change drastically in the near future and become a hassle for me.
So far there service has been good, but there have been a couple of times where their hold time was pretty long. I don't like waiting to speak to someone.
I am satisfied with the company and the service they provide. They really care about the customer and do everything they can to ensure you are protected.
The website is simple to navigate but not incredibly innovative or useful. I feel that there are some much more innovative websites and apps to help customers of other companies.
Ideally, I would like to pay less. This is our first house so we went with the first offer. After doing some research we feel that we should be paying less.
They offer good products at competitive rates. They are courteous and friendly. I have had a prompt response to any questions.
I haven't had a claim so haven't had a good or bad experience.
up to date there no problem with the home insurance company which we deal with also expecting these customer services from them some more customer friendly in forth coming years too.
Negative Reviews & Ratings
There is nothing. Generally speaking, I get great prices, service, and support from Metlife. I do not see myself changing company's anytime soon as I have no complaints.
There is nothing that I can say I personally dislike about the company other than the fact that they are an insurance company.
The only issue I have as stated previously is with their app. You can't really access the Dec page and all coverage on the app. The reliability of the app could use some work also.
Anything I dislike is usually related to price. It started with a good price and has slowly crept up over the months. I will look around before renewing.
The overall service and rate that I have with MetLife appear to be good. I am always interested in a better deal and they will begin reviewing my rates next month. If it increases drastically, I will start to compare rates again.
I am unsure what I dislike about the company. So far, the biggest complaint I have is the wait time in their phone queue and their automated phone system is aggravating at times, as it tends to loop you back and forth
I mostly dislike how much the yearly premium is. I feel like it's a lot for the home I live in, and I'm not sure it should be that high.
Like I said before it's mainly the website. It needs to be faster, less clunky, and with more options. That and policy printing.
The home insurance company which we deal with have some dislike was frequently change their contact numbers and delay in attending the calls to.
I would not have many complaints about the company as such, it is really good and it affirms everything that you promise. but, in terms of customer service, they tend to be a little careless and are slow to communicate with you
