Positive Reviews & Ratings
I have never had a claim so that's a good thing but I am very satisfied with their services so far. Overall I think they offer a fair rate and competitive rate.
Great cost and coverage for my forever home. So far, so good as they have been fantastic anytime a natural disaster is nearby and answer every question I have of them.
The ease of dealing with this company via their website and telephone is just so awesome. I rarely have to call them for clarifications, as the website is so well done that I generally can find the answer I am looking for. My account is at my fingertips. They are fair on their rates considering I live in Florida and homeowner's insurance can sometimes be difficult to obtain. They have never faltered in their excellent service.
The company is reasonably priced and the staff is willing to provide excellent service. They do a great job figuring out what my needs are at the present and future times.
My new insurance company is quick to respond to me and handle my requests. On top of that, I am paying less for more coverage than I previously had.
Customer service is decent. I have home insurance at a decent price, and coverage is acceptable. You are able to bundle to save even more money on your premium.
I like my company because it is concerned with the need of its customers and is always ready to help.
The company is built on quality and superior service. I enjoy the comfort and peace of mind that it offers to me and my family.
The website of the company looks very much professional as well as attractive. The navigation and the interface of the website is simple.
Never have any problems minus the one time I explained earlier it has been good and I like the company overall I think they are good and have great customer service.
I like that the company is straightforward and honest. They treat everyone equally and fairly.
I find that my premium falls within the average amount offered by other companies.so since it's a familiar company, I stick with them.
No negative issues with the company so far, hope it stays that way and I never have to claim anything from them.
Everyone has been friendly as of now, and since I have not had a need to claim anything, I can't really comment on the actual processes.
I think that the premium charged by the company is a bit higher. The company should try to reduce the overall cost of the premium.
For the premium I am paying and the coverage I receive, I feel like I'm in good hands with Liberty Mutual.
The company offers a good customer service. The company sends professionals immediately if I incur any loss on home repairs.
I do not have any negative experiences to report. For this reason, I am unable to provide any useful information about things I dislike about the company.
The company's website is great and very easy to navigate. The mobile app is great for checking your account an paying the monthly bill.
The communication is very good. I called a few months ago when we had a bad storm and there was some damage to the roof. It was handled professionally and promptly.
I have shopped around but this is the best deal when it is bundled with the car insurance. They give good discounts when you do this and it will save you money in the long run.
At this time I cannot pinpoint anything I dislike about the company. We have been easy customers so far and they are easy to work with.
Overall Liberty Mutual is a wonderful company to purchase homeowners, renters, and car insurance. I have been with them for many years and they take the customer seriously and treat you with respect. I have recommended them to my family and friends.
I like this company simply because it has been an easy process to change to them a couple years ago. Alson, the rates were better for better coverage. The company is a large stable one too.
Joining the company was easy. I was able to do everything on the phone which is critical to me as I work full time. I left another company because they required an in-person meeting that I didn't have time for.
I like that the company is user-friendly, respectful of my time, and offers competitive premiums. This is the combination of things I require, and lack of these things moved me to leave my past insurer.
Given the age of my house and value, I think the premium is extremely reasonable and competitive. When I lived in a new home in another geographical area my premium was over three times what I am paying now.
I have had no real need to communicate with the insurance company for our home insurance. Once the policy was in place I have not been in contact with the company.
I have never had any problems with their customer service. I have sent an email regarding my policy and they answered my question back within the hour.
5 I really have not had a issue with anything that liberty has done. I did have USAA at one point and they had terrible customer service. Overall the customer service at Liberty Mutual has been fantastic.
I had started shopping for all new insurance coverage when our daughter was going to get her drivers license. This company gave the best rate for actually better coverage for home and auto than others I had looked at.
I don't dislike anything about them. They are wonderful and I like their customer service department.
I have only been to the website once or twice and seemed easy to use. I was able to find what I wanted quickly and no need to take time looking on different pages.
The interaction is minimal and but thorough when needed. I do not like unnecessary communication. My needs are met without excess time.
Their website could be a little easier to navigate, but overall the entire experience is a positive one. Liberty Mutual has been a positive experience.
The company has great employees, and good AM the best rating and treated me with respect when filing a claim. They were also transparent with me when speaking as opposed to other insurance companies who try to beat around the bush.
The only complaints I have ever had is about the mobile phone app. It never loads correctly and sometimes just closes itself out altogether in the middle of doing something.
I don't have anything negative to say about the company. They were able to give us a competitive rate and coverage. It could have been a little bit easier to go through the application process, but in the end, we got what we needed.
Overall the company appears to provide us what we need to have coverage for our house. Having a house is important, and I would hate for something to happen that would result in not having a place to live.
I don't really dislike anything about the company. I've visited their office and some of their employees have a group-think mentality but that might just be the culture of that specific office and not a criticism of the company.
Liberty Mutual is a great company that has a lot of benefits to people that do not need to make claims often. They have explained my plan in detail.
Overall the company is providing me with excellent service. We would recommend them to our friends and family and will continue to use them as long as things don't change.
The company is very professional and I'm able to fairly easily manage my contracts for both my home and automobiles.
The friendly and happy atmosphere during our interactions seems to be very pleasing. I don't use the website but like everything else about the company.
In general, it's a great company, they were able to bundle our home and auto insurance which was a big break financially for us. Although their website could use a makeover it satisfies our needs.
I love this company and can't say enough about it. The best insurance company I have ever had to deal with for anything and I have dealt with a lot of them.
So far I have not had any issues with the company. They have been efficient in helping me purchase the home insurance, and all correspondence that I have had with them has been kind in nature, and has left me feeling that I am in capable hands. I do hope that when it comes time to file a claim that I will feel the same way.
what i like about this company is that they have good customer service
The ease of fetting insured and the fact that they do not bother me with unnecessary surveys and questions.
I appreciate the responsiveness of the representatives I have worked with and their skill at addressing my needs. I also appreciate the minimum contact that they engage in such as not sending a bunch of spam, mailers, etc. I also appreciate the perceived attention to security that they have by not sending communications with exposed account numbers, etc.
As I said before, they have always been fair and helpful. They treated us with respect and did not try and sale, sale, sale.
They were much cheaper overall when I initially switched to them years ago.
I like the good customer service and the added benefit of roadside assistance. they always answer quickly and are very helpful. Always ready to answer questions
I havent had to use them for anything yet but so far when I got the insruance it was the most cost effecient.
I think they are good at giving the best prices out there. They provide good rates and service that I wanted from an insurance company. They asked me my needs and listened to my concerns.
Overall, it's an honest and respectful company, no hassle ever. They're very hospitable whenever I had a situation which needs to be resolved.
My insurance company is very friendly, helpful and amazingly priced. I have no need to change or move around and I do not plan to do so ever
I like the low cost of the premiums, the handy website, and the great customer service that I get whenever I call.
I like having all my insurance bundled together. I also like being covered by a reputable company that has been around for many years.
I would like it if their rates were more competitive. Right now, since all of my insurance needs are bundled with them, I am willing to forego an $80-$100 price difference with competitor insurance companies and stay.
I like that they aren't always trying to sell me something else. I'm tired of companies trying to get me to buy more.
I like the company's customer service as well as their policy I think that it is a fair policy for what is being covered and how much I'm paying I would recommend this company to my friends and family.
They maintain an even balance between intrusive and privacy. They send warnings and tips before a storm which is nice. I wish they would sometimes reach out and give me tips on how to reduce my premiums.
I love their customer service and their products they offer, also the fact that there is no delays when filing a claim, or hardships when attempting to reach a customer service representative.
I haven't really had a chance to use them, but for renewal purposes and all, everything was smooth.
Liberty Mutual has always been punctual, professional, and polite when contacting them. Always available, consistent updates, and never any 'attitude' or leaving customers feeling as if they were a 'bother.' Attitudes go a long way when dealing with insurance companies.
Liberty Mutual has always been my favorite company to deal with. (Insurance company) Liberty is always understanding, and reasonably fast when it comes to questions, claims, and any request that I have for them.
I think that the premium is same as compared to the premium of other companies. There is no much difference.
Not too many dislikes, however If I could choose one thing to change or modify, it would be the price point. Lower deductibles, lower premiums, and an increased cost of coverage at the same or a lower price. Also, the verification process when you call in. Perhaps an automated verification process so you can skip giving your social security to an associate every time you call in.
There are the minimum nuber of branches in the arround the city. So, the customers was travel the long distance then enter the insurance company and the lot of customers enter the same branch.
I like how easy the company was to sign up for using their mobile app. The design is very clean and easy to understand, and the price is good.
I like the website as I can view all relevant information and policy documents as well as make payments and view billing information. It has all the functionality I need.
I only really spoke with one person about the insurance coverage and was pleased with her knowledge of the products the company had to offer. She was able to easily and fairly quickly give me all the information I needed.
1 for completely satisfied due to the fact that they bundle all my other insurance with Geico and give me a extensive discount.
Ease of Quotes, competitive , full coverage, informative, efficient, friendly, easy, good website, detailed, paperless, customer oriented, online quotes, neighborhood agents
Above the insurance company was the one of the most excellent insurance company in the america. Good cutomer service, speed process, easy to access, etc., is the benefits of the above insurance company.
I don't really have anything that I don't like about it so far. I have used Geico auto for a couple of years and just recently bought homeowners insurance through them (Liberty Mutual)
I don't specifically dislike my insurance company. However, I do dislike paying for insurance that I will likely never use, and that will likely cancel my policy should I ever need to use it.
They appear to be competitively priced. I have not had to file a claim or deal with any sort of billing or other issues. They appear to do as good a job as anyone else.
Geico seems much more reasonably priced and flexible than my previous insurance company Allstate.
There's nothing specific I like about them; I guess the only positive thing to say is that there's also nothing negative for me to say. I have no complaints - so that's worth something I suppose.
I am very happy with the company overall. Have no complaints and only good things to say about them, have always been very helpful, fair price and excellent customer service.
I like that the company is flexible and able to make changes for me quickly. They can re-quote me my policy within minutes and get me the documents. I've dealt with companies in the past who take hours or even days to get you the documents that you need.
I like that Liberty Mutual was pretty easy to get homeowners and auto insurance bundled together. I have the low car and house insurance because of this. This was partly due to the fact that I have a credit union account with one of their partners so I was able to save money. The also had the lowest rates compared to their competitors.
I think they have excellent customer service and their reps are knowledgeable and helpful. As with many companies nowadays, I don't have to be transferred several times to talk to the person who knows the answer to my question. I thought they made the claims process simple and understandable.
in the insurance i like the way of plan they behave with us
My billing is straightforward and my premiums are reasonable. My property is a rental so keeping my payments low while providing good coverage is very important to me.
I dislike the constant mail, and that the premiums and deductibles keep going up, even though I haven't filed a claim.
I like how they are nationwide, so I don't have to worry about reliability and locality. There are agents all over the country.
I like the cheap rate and the fact that it's fairly hassle-free. I signed up online and it was easy. I feel that we have a good amount of coverage on our home.
I don't really use it much, but I have installed on my phone, and looks like it could do the basics. Because I know a person working at the insurance company, he handles everything for me.
I dislike the fact that they didn't cover my claim, which I feel was completely valid. I don't understand why I have insurance if they're not going to help when I need it.
Due to my location, age of my home and crime statistics in the local area, my insurance company offered a fairly reasonable premium compared to other companies that were hundred's above the quote I received.
I don't like how only after one year they changed our premiums and made them higher until we called and complained. Which isn't right. I'm certainly not going to call every year.
They were able to offer a bundle package for home and auto thus making our premium cheaper so that was a positive.
I'm having to raise my deductible to keep my premiums from increasing too rapidly every year. I've never placed a claim, so I cannot say for sure about the service one would receive if there ever was a problem, but so far interactions with customer service have been cordial and comprehensible.
It is basic, no frills. It duplicates the functions available through the website. It links to my camera app so I can easily send photos to back up claims.
They entered us into a three-way call with another company to help us compare prices.
What I like the least, is the customer service and the wait and how difficult it is to get an answer to any question.
Despite having a very bad customer service, insurance prices with very accessible, with coverage that meets my needs, so I consider it fair.
In spite of everything they answered for my payment, I had differences with the company and they delayed too much but they paid me
Signing up was very easy and the costs are extremely competitive. Our adjuster was very nice and quickly did his job. Liberty did payout the entire amount needed to fix and replace damaged areas.
I'm satisfied with the company itself but with my budget becoming tighter I want to see if they are still my best option. They have always been more than helpful and accommodating when needed
Overall, the company is average at best to me. I feel if I put in the effort, I could get better service, better quality, and better price for my home. I do not believe I have the best of it all when it comes to home insurance because they can improve in communication and price of the insurance, but it is not like it is draining money from me either.
I have never been one to use mobile apps, however my main gripe with this app, is the fact that, although user friendly, at times it seems as if there is 'too' much information available at one time.
I like my insurance company because I have not had any issues which is great. If I had issues, I would replace them with another company. My insurance provider is fairly quiet until they need something from me which is how I like it to be.
The premium is one of the lowest I have found for the coverage I can get from them. Others tend to cost a heck of a lot more
I like the insurance company overall because our claims have been handled quickly and correctly, the first time. We received acceptable amounts of money. These amounts were what we expected, but policy owners never truly know until a claim is settled.
I don't have to deal with a local agent; I can just call and speak with a claims agent at a call center. The agents are American and easy to understand. However, they are only available during regular business hours, and some hours during the day on weekends, and not 24/7.
It is a large well established company that has been around for over a century.3
Decent price, great customer service, easy claims process, and trust built over having been a customer for many years
I like everything in general, the customer service, how fast and effective it is to solve the problem, the situation in which I have been affected, the truth is what I really love, the work of the liberty company
Overall, I like the coverage, discounts, communication, and ease of payment with LM. We get a number of benefits and discounts on other products we use because of our coverage. We use payroll deduct for our auto policy, which also makes things very easy. They were responsive to our claim and ensured we received our payment in a timely manner.
I havent had to use them for anything yet but so far when I got the insruance it was the most cost effecient, yet I have heard other family members telling me they have had hard times with their claims.
I did not like agent I spoke to discourage me on competitive rates and applying discounts I didn't qualify for.
After complaining I asked for a refund on the first month we were charged the higher price, and they said they were unable to give a refund for that, however, going forward they could charge the lower amount.
A steady increase in premiums year-over-year despite no claims and timely payments. No explanation is given as to why premiums go up. It's as if there is no discount for loyalty.
the delay in paying and approving all the reports verifying each information for the case, the wait was very long
It's a little pricey, especially for having no loss experience. Maybe I'll market them this year.
Too hard to get in touch with.Too expensive considering the value of our home. Have not upgraded enough with technology, internet.
We get a bundle price because we have Auto and Homeowners insurance. The coverage is about average for today's standards.
That they will be there should something bad happens and we need them. I pay my premiums on time so I would expect should a claim arise they pay the claims timely.
the over all review is this company is extremely good for the home insurance process
i like that the prices are fair. the customer service reps are trained well and have a lot of patience. i like that they are always available
I never had any issues, it was a simple process to add them as the carrier. Rates were low for a long time, even beating out when bundled with other products.
I DO NOT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT LIBERTY MUTUAL. AS A MATTER OF FACT, WE USED LIBERTY MUTUAL FOR OUR AUTO COVERAGE, AS WELL AS OUR HOMEOWNER COVERAGE, AND I HAVE SINCE CANCELLED OUR AUTO COVERAGE. AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, I WILL ALSO BE CANCELLING OUR HOMEOWNERS COVERAGE WITH THEM AS WELL.
Negative Reviews & Ratings
There was a point when our roof need to be replace and they told me that we need to do it within 60 days which seemed reasonable. Then a week later we got another letter saying they had cancelled us. That was obviously contradictory and really upset me. When we had the roof replaced they were quick to restore our policy though.
Nothing so far. They haven't done anything negative towards me over the two years we've had them. They leave us alone when we want to be left alone.
I just don't like paying for homeowner's insurance in the first place as I think it is too expensive no matter how you look at it. I also have to pay flood insurance separately and I wish insurance companies would include that in our homeowner's policies. So that really isn't a slight or negative against Liberty Mutual, but the insurance industry in general.
I dislike that the prices could be a little lower than they are overall. I would like more information provided online as well to the specifics of different plans.
Only the one problem I had earlier wit the random 11 dollar charge but it was cleared up and they told me why and it wasn't too bad overall. Great company and I will stay with them for awhile.
I have only been with my new insurance company for a couple months and thus far have not had anything to complain about. If I had to pick one thing it would be that if I want to pay my bills with a credit card there is a small premium I have to pay each month.
I don't dislike my company because it takes long to cover for damages claimed
I do not dislike anything about the company. I would recommend them to anyone. They have not done anything negative to impact my opinion.
The only thing I can say that I may dislike would be the amount I pay could be slightly lower. I do feel like the rates could be lower.
I have not filed a claim so i can not say that i find any thing to dislike.
I do wish they offered more discounts or rewarded me for having a policy with them. Additionally, when I have inquired about increasing coverage on my house the cost has been prohibitive and I still have issues with what is potentially covered and not covered in the event of a claim. In terms of the language of my contract, I wish parts of it were easier to read and understand.
I'm not sure. I am satisfied. They are a bit more expensive than some of the other companies in the area. I would like them to lower their bundled rates if possible.
I really don't have anything I dislike about them.
I have absolutely zero complaints about the company other than the fact that it's insurance, which is just a big scam and I don't agree with at all. I don't think insurance should be mandated for anything but that's life
The only complaint I have is the amount of spam I receive from them. If I wanted to buy more things from them I would contact them.
The only thing I dislike is that they tend to pay out lower than other companies on claims and be more difficult to work with according to my auto body guy.
There's honestly nothing that I can complain about State Farm, it’s a very good company in my opinion and reliable.
I didn't like that I had to get a physical for life insurance but most companies require that so it was something that I had to expect anyway. I wish it were easier to get life insurance than having to wait for blood tests and such, but that is for protection I suppose.
I think their rates are increasing and will likely surpass other companies soon. it will be likely that we will switch in the near future because of the price creeping upwards.
There is no personal relationship with the company. If there is ever a need that I need to file a claim, I feel I will be dealing with an unconcerned rep in a call center somewhere, who will have no familiarity with me until he/she reads into my account.
The discounts could be better. Especially when you have a policy for many years and have no claims. I think that's the only thing I dislike about the company.
What I dislike about the company overall is that the customer service people can be a little combative sometimes but I am quite good on the phone so I have always gotten my way it usually just has come down being able to talk to the manager of the company and they always give me what I want so all in all there are more positives than negatives about this company I would still say their customer service is good that it just needs a little bit of improvement.
They have slowly increased their rates over the years. However this year it took a large jump adding almost $40 to my bill. Property value has increased but it not that much compared to previous years
i dislike the price. it is fair, however, i hate paying for any kind of insurance. it basically gambling and ive never been much of a gambler
I only dislike that the company is confusing because I purchased the insurance on a Geico website but it is through liberty mutual
I never hear from the company unless it is time for me to pay my premium. They do not value me as a customer.
It is hard to contact someone over the phone easily Most of the time it is better to just go to the location property to do business
Overall, I do not like the increasing costs for the same level of coverage, even without having filed our first claim. Also, we have added security systems and other safety features that provide a discount, but in the next renewal, our premium still increases.
I do not like that we do not have a local agent. It would be nice to have someone local that we could talk to about some of our concerns with our premium increase and could help us tailor our coverage so that it is more specific to our needs.
I wish there was more transparency about why the bills are increasing. If the agency could show me their method of determining my rate that would be great.
Do not point out something in the whole survey that has annoyed me, so I have nothing to contribute about this opinion since everything in the company was favorable and I have been comfortable with their respective responses to me.
Since I bought the house in 2007, my premium has gone up 40%, even though I have not made a single claim, and I have made on-time payments.
We switched to Liberty because they could keep our premium lower than other companies, however after only one year they raised the premium significantly. Had to phone other companies to see if they could match and when they did Liberty came down in price.
The prices are too high.Insurance is a blessing but can be a real drag on life when it's not affordable. I think the people at the top are thinking mostly for themselves.
they seem to be a large and stable company and have the financial ability to pay any claims that I may have.
sometimes in this company late process is occurred for some technical problems
Their communication is lacking, and their premiums are too high for the services that they provide.
I do like that they respond to email rather quickly and effectively.
Our relationship is totally one-sided. I pay the premium, never file claims, and never hear from them.
I assume they will cover my claim if I ever need to file one.
THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PATHETIC THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO, AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVES ARE NOT COMPLETELY HONEST WITH WHAT YOUR POLICY WILL ENTAIL. THIS IS NOT RIGHT FOR CONSUMERS, AND I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT AGAINST LIBERTY MUTUAL WITH THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER.
