Latest Homeowners Insurance Reviews
While I wish they had a better website and mobile app, they have been very good to deal with and charge reasonable rates for my coverage. I'll continue to use them in the future.
I like the good customer service, online tools, and affordable rate. I have no experience in dealing with claims, so I am unable to speak about that.
I have never dislike anything about the company, l am satisfied with their policy and everything about them is great and good.
I like how the adjuster handled all of my claims, and the company issued me a check quickly so I could get my roof fixed.
I think the premium that I received was fair considering the value of my home. I have never had home insurance before but this was the premium that I expected.
Every time I’ve had to call the call center, I’ve waited on hold for a while, but the customer service representatives are always very friendly and helpful
The company has been was easy to work with. I have had no problems.
I like this company because the prices are good and they are very friendly and willing to help however they can. They spell things out for you and make it as simple as can be if you aren't sure what you are doing.
Response time is slow. I did have a problem with the company not realizing that my mortgage company was responsible for paying the bill through my escrow. My insurance company kept billing me and making me responsible for speaking to my mortgage company about this. I felt they should have spoken directly to my mortgage company about this instead of inconveniencing me.
I like that their prices are reasonable and are easy to reach.
I like the electronic abilities. The pricing is great for my area and they have literally saved me thousands on car insurance. When I got the quote online I had to call to make sure there wasn't a mistake.
the website is very good. it's easy to navigate thru the whole website. the colors are good the graphics are good.
The company in general is very good with solid reputation in the industry.
I like the website, I also like the pricing, I also like the customer service and finally, I like the stability of an established company.
I'm not sure what other premiums are like because this is the only company we have ever gone with. They were there when we needed them.
The customer service is great, the coverage and costs are very good. I like the amount of interaction I have with the company and their quick responsiveness to any and all issues.
Their website is easy to navigate, their customer service reps are knowledgeable and friendly, everything is a straightforward process at the time of set-up, the policy is connected to our car insurance so we save some money which is quite helpful to us in the long run.
They communicate well, pay out on smaller issues without drastically raising my premiums and are generally fair and good about the premium and annual fees they expect me to pay.
The deductibles are too high and for my mobile home coverage, there is no flood insurance in my area for some reason. I don't live in a prone area to floods but in the event, I need to submit a claim for flood damage I'm out of luck.
The company should try to brand out to other industries so that the premium is lower. It's still a bit on the high end.
It satisfies the requirement that we have insurance, and hopefully, they would come through if we did have catastrophic damage, but I don't know. I don't have faith that they would or wouldn't.
I like the Amica website because it is so easy to navigate. I also like the fact that I can locate everything I need to know about my policy on the website.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Encompass. They offer exceptional coverage value for the premium. They are very transparent about what is covered and are flexible whenever I wish to make adjustments to my policy. They also provide a hard copy of the policy by mail, which is nice in this present digital age.
I like Farmers insurance because of the availability of talking to a local insurance agent that will respond to my call when I need a question answered.
I LIKE ALL THEY HAVE TO OFFER ME AND MY FAMILY ,BECAUSE OF ALL OF THE THING I HAVE TO INSURE I FEEL THAT THIS WAS THE BEST BECAUSE I DIDN'T NEED MORE THAN ONE COMPANY TO TAKE CARE OF ALL OF MY AND MY FAMILY'S NEEDS
The website acts sluggish at times, first of all. Second, they've recently started charging me a dollar per payment if I enroll in the autopsy plan. I've discontinued this plan and am now paying my bill manually. It and inconvenience to do it this way, and I'm not sure why they felt the need to charge people to automate their payments. I'm hoping this is temporary.
The premium could always be cheaper. I have a feeling my premiums will go way up on my next renewal.
They really need to update their website and add online chat as a feature. I don't like calling anymore into companies and definitely like to use the online chat feature.
Overall, Western Mutual is a good home insurance provider. They are friendly and helpful. Their price is reasonable for the amount that is covered under for the premium that I currently pay.
A good website portal, user friendly and easy to know the details not much info to get confused.
I have found that dealing with Farmers Insurance team has been good. My initial contact is my Insurance agent who I contact and he gets back to me quickly in answering any questions about my policies.
When I purchased my policy an agent came to my home and we bought insurance from him. The best customer service possible over the phone.
I sometimes feel I am paying way too much but I have to admit I have very little experience with insurance companies so I don't know that I am actually paying too much
I would rate them a 5 if their website worked properly. However, we have had positive interactions with all employees, which is important to us. Also, they have handled claims in an efficient manner so far.
I like the friendly customer service and the excellent and fair price on my policy. They were leaders in those areas compared to the competition.
I like my company because it is concerned with the need of its customers and is always ready to help.
Signing up was very easy and the costs are extremely competitive. Our adjuster was very nice and quickly did his job. Liberty did payout the entire amount needed to fix and replace damaged areas.
I haven't really had a chance to use them, but for renewal purposes and all, everything was smooth.
I don't have to deal with a local agent; I can just call and speak with a claims agent at a call center. The agents are American and easy to understand. However, they are only available during regular business hours, and some hours during the day on weekends, and not 24/7.
The company has great employees, and good AM the best rating and treated me with respect when filing a claim. They were also transparent with me when speaking as opposed to other insurance companies who try to beat around the bush.
So far I have not had any issues with the company. They have been efficient in helping me purchase the home insurance, and all correspondence that I have had with them has been kind in nature, and has left me feeling that I am in capable hands. I do hope that when it comes time to file a claim that I will feel the same way.
I don't dislike my company because it takes long to cover for damages claimed
I really don't dislike my insurance company, but I do dislike that I must go through an AAA agent to communicate with them.
I like how it covers all my services, the effecicas very good customer service and excellent design of page wed
I like that they are reliable and it's one less thing I have to worry about if anything ever went wrong with my home.
There is very little I dislike about the insurance company. It would be nice to see a proactive approach to providing discounts for longevity, accident-free, and other non-event situations that lower their liability.
I like that they are a family oriented company. I know that they will take care of any issues that I might have.
The only negative thing I have to say about Nationwide is that when I bought my homeowner's policy, Nationwide harassed me to add my car. This went on for months that I was getting a call from a separate agent about switching my car insurance. In hindsight, it was a little silly to not have them under the same policy; however, I really liked GEICO at the time. You can't beat their claims process.
I have no dislikes about my insurance company. I am very happy with them.
The website is clear and lets me do everything I need to do. I can see my coverage and make payments easily.
I am put on hold for too long. The last person I talked to was not very helpful. Maybe he was just having a bad day but, it wasn't my fault.
I love their service and their attitudes towards customers. They do a great job with dealing with all of my claims and questions.
I like that they sit down with me and go over my policy and give me all my options and try to find discounts.
I like a lot of things about my insurance company such as the multi-policy discount for having an auto policy and also having a life insurance policy.
I don't think they are better or worse than another insurance company. I was previously with Liberty Mutual and they seem relatively comparable to each other.
I have been a customer for many years, but pretty much stay with them because I get a multiple policy discount for having my cars also insured with them
I'm with Allstate because it came bundled with my car insurance, It lowered my car rate so I didn't mind the home insurance add on.
there isn't much to dislike but if I had to pick one thing it would be how fast the premium went up. It has doubled since we signed on with them and we have been paying double for several years and we haven't filed any claims against the insurance.
I am extremely satisfied choosing Allstate. Affordable premiums, great coverage and excellent customer service. This is how a company should be run
It’s a good premium and I think it is good and it is perfect
Nothing. I did miss one payment, and I lost a discount. I wasn't happy about it, but I am getting it back soon, and my agent and his staff have found a lot of other discounts for me too.
I would have to say it is a combination of things. Our Allstate representative is outstanding, the coverage is excellent and the claim process is fair and rapid.
the communication is great they talk plainly and clearly and explain all to my understanding, they leave nothing upturned..they are very polite there is no complaint
This is a very repetitive survey - just refer to my answers to individual questions above. My relationship with the company i fine. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" I always say.
The main thing I don't like is the premium increasing every 6 months. I think I may do some shopping around for some other companies.
I honestly can't think of anything I dislike about the company, they are always extremely helpful and make sure I am taken care of and understand everything.
The company is a large insurance agency, so sometimes the details they provide me need more explanation. I'm not well-versed on insurance, so additional explanations would be appreciated.
As with anything, it could be better if it was cheaper, or if I received more discounts for not claiming but at the same time, I do understand that you get what you pay for with insurance and I hope my loyalty and track record will be rewarded when/if I need to claim.
I like that you get a really good product at a not very expensive rate. The product and customer service are worth the price of the premium
MOstly satisfied with the website. I recently had homeowners claim and could not find any updated info on the claim or the adjuster estimate online. It was all done through phone calls.
Very responsive and informative. No issues with communication from MetLife reps. If they don't answer calls are returned within 24 hours.
I believe their coverage is exceptional. I hope to never have to file a claim but I fully believe everything will go smoothly if I needed to.
The company provides good services to its customers. It is concerned with their needs and always ready to help in times of claims.
I don't like the time taken by the company to respond to claims especially when it is an emergency issue. Their services are a bit slow.
There is nothing I do not like besides people not speaking English when I call.
I haven't needed to use the customer service yet, but I have heard from other people that their customer service is definitely up to par with what you would expect.
I love the company. They have the best coverage and make sure you are taken care of. They are efficient as a company and service.
Progressive communicates everything very well and is quick to respond to any questions/concerns I have.
In addition to customer service, the speed of attention, the good service of questions, the good service of my home insurance itself and among other things, I am completely satisfied.
Insurance is something that I do not have to think about because the company makes it easy. There is no particular loyalty keeping me with them, they were just the cheapest option when we were shopping.
Overseas call centers are annoying when they do not speak English.
I don't like having to pay for insurance, but I'd rather have it than have to come up with the amount of money it might cost to replace fire-damaged belongings
I like the policy and the easy navigation to information I need. It's easy for me to find what I need to know.
The policy is easy to maintain and I don't have to do a bunch of stuff to keep it going. I like the semi disconnect between me and them. As long as there is no problem, there's no communication necessary.
The insurance company as a whole is very nice and friendly. They make it very fast and easy to file a claim and see resolution.
The company is very responsive to me and my phone call. I can call with questions and concerns and they will be there to answer me.
Even though this company is not the only insurance company, I have learned to like what they have to offer. The premiums are also very competitive.
I like that the company works with all of their customers in a manner that's not always frustrating. They listen and try to offer their best solutions for the customers.
Competitive rates and excellent service. They don't try to weasel out of paying you if you're qualified. They explain fine print. Overall great company to work with.
The company is prompt and fair. They are easy to work with over the phone too. I have had multiple claims and they have always paid me satisfactorily and my rates have never increased do to my claims.
Overall, State Farm has been a great insurance company for me - they're courteous, they're professional, and they take great care of me.
Overall, I like that the company is the industry standard and I can expect that should the need ever arise, our claims would be handled appropriately. I also like that I can bundle other financial instruments like car insurance, life insurance, umbrella policies, etc...
There is nothing that I like or don't like about this company since I have not had to file any claim I'm not sure how it will work, Hope everything works like it works when they are charging monthly payments...
I can't say I dislike anything about this company. All the experiences I have had has been positive. Only thing I would like would be a cheaper rate.
The best things I've experienced so far with state farm is the customer service, and great rates and coverages
In general what I like about the company is that the solutions they give are quite effective, which is what one looks for at the end of the day, that they solve
I have been with this company insuring my autos for 20 years, so it seemed logical that I look to them for my homeowner's insurance. Anytime I call my agents office I simply tell them my name and they know who I am and have my policy pulled up within seconds. There is never a need for me to have my policy number handy as they know me and treat me like a valued customer.
things have gone fine with them so far. easy to set up. their app is good, their employees are helpful. their prices are competitive.
They have decent rates, they deal with claims quickly, I never have trouble getting in touch with someone, they always call back promptly, they don't have any breed specific rules concerning dog ownership.
I wish it were easier to contact my company. Fewer hold times, more interaction. It could use some improvement there.
The attempts at upselling are annoying. I don't like when he says I have to come into the office to finalize stuff yet I don't sign anything. So it's a wasted trip. I'd like more disconnect.
The insurance company as a whole is very nice and friendly. They make it very fast and easy to file a claim and see resolution.
Claim department takes a long time. I had an incident with pipes a few months an ago and the claim too a month long, which cause a big problem for me.
What I dislike is sometimes their rates. When there's damage, it's pretty pricey and they don't always offer a discount.
There are not a lot of things that I dislike, they mainly have to do with how the housing market is set up. I do not like the way insurance companies compete with each other because they tend to forget about the customer.
Have not had any negative dealings with Citizens Insurance Company yet, hope to find out that they are upfront and helpful if I ever have to deal with them on this level.
My only overall dislike would be the company's location, which is based on where I first lived when I sought out their services several years ago (not truly a fault of the company). Otherwise, I have no issues, with the company.
Expensive coverage, should offer discount at the end of the year for client not filing claims, this is the way insurance companies operates, so we need to carry on.
I've not had any negative experiences. I'd like to pay a little less but really who would not want that. They have to make money somehow I guess.
Well of course I wish the premiums were cheaper. But aside from that I really don't have anything else to say. I did have a problem with their phone line but that has since been resolved too.
The rates are low, the coverage is good. I don't file lots of claims and they gave me a nice umbrella policy over the home AND auto.
