Abilene, TX Discounts on HomeOwners Insurance

In Abilene, TX homeowners pay an average home insurance rate of $1569. Homeowners in Abilene can use discounts offered by different companies to reduce their rates further. Home Insurance Discounts Based on Deductibles

A newly constructed Abilene home can enjoy $361 off on homeowners insurance. Houses are at their lowest propensity to damage when they're new, which is why companies offer attractive discounts for these homes as well. In contrast, older houses attract higher rates of repair and maintenance costs - a cost that's reflected in the price of your homeowner’s insurance premium and leads them to be charged an additional fee. For instance Abilene homes older than 40 and 50 years receive an additional charge of $41 and $60, respectively, on home insurance.

Homeowners in Abilene can get up to $31 off their insurance premiums by installing a swimming  pool. Installing self-latching and self-closing gates around the pool also benefits your insurance rates and insurance companies provide discounts for the same. Additionally, senior citizens receive discounts on home insurance rates so it is a perk  that a household has at least one person over 50 years old living there.Homeowners who don't smoke or live with smokers may be eligible for an additional discount from certain companies too.

Although most of the factors that determine discounts cannot be controlled by  homeowners, they can benefit most by choosing deductibles to reduce home insurance rates. Homeowners can avail of attractive discounts by opting for higher deductibles. Abilene homeowners paying a high deductible of $2,500 can avail of a discount of $442.46 on homeowners insurance. Homeowners receive discounts of $370.6 and $248.84, respectively, on deductibles of $2,000 and $1,500.

Homeowners in Abilene who have a claims-free history with their home insurance company can receive discounts on their premiums.Homeowners with prior claims can pay more for factors such as the number and type of claims. By providing a history of zero claim, homeowners save money on their premiums in Abilene by $658.98 or $251.04 respectively based on two fire damage incidents or water-damage incidents they have experienced previously.

Latest Home Insurance Reviews

Price and service. The price is good and comparable. Also, when you call in everyone is so helpful. If they can't help you they will find the person that can.
Allstate provides top shelf service and offerings but their premiums are getting a bit too high and I wouldn't recommend them as a result.
Alfa Insurance
The deductibles for the various types of coverage are typical of dwelling in this area. I believe I may have also been offered the opportunity to provide additional weather-related coverages.
The premium on my home policy is very reasonable, I feel, for the coverage I am receiving. And the deductible, compared to some companies, is lower and more easily manageable should I ever have a claim.
I think there are some better options out there but Geico is still a solid choice.
In my opinion they are not the cheapest when it comes to premiums and deductibles. This is probably related to the vast amount of services that they provide.
State Farm
We have a typical deductible for a house in our area. We have had two claims on other homes and our deductible did not increase.
Alfa Insurance
I am completely satisfied with my premium and deductibles. They are standard in the industry.
State Farm
I think that the premium and deductible for State Farm is comparable to policies from other companies. They may charge slightly more for premiums in regards to the amount of deductible offered, but is completely worth the higher cost.
Liberty Mutual
I am completely satisfied with my home insurance company. I have never had a problem switching my policy as I moved into a bigger house.
I like geico because it is cheap. however, i think it can be about $20 cheaper. i like the fact that i can see my account details online.
I felt like it was a little rude when they told me they would be terminating my insurance with them after they paid out a large claim when my house was robbed.
They are very transparent about what they do not cover. you don't have to worry about being blindsided by uncovered damages if something is to happen. i really enjoy knowing exactly what i do and do not have to worry about.
If I call the communication is fine, but usually I don't have to call, because everything is going fine
It's very user-friendly, I have information on the spot, easy view, and easy to use. If I have any issues, I can always come into the office and the representative will help me. They are truly excellent.
Liberty Mutual
I like that Liberty Mutual was recommended to me by apartment. Getting access was pretty quick and seamless.
State Farm
Of course it's high because of my credit score so I don't think it's necessarily the fault of my insurance company but it’s still higher than I would like to pay to be honest
State Farm
We do not have any negative comments about this insurance company at this time, they have always managed our account well.
I like that they give you a variety of options for communication. You can choose between phone, email, mail, and text. All the different options make it really convenient for all types of people.
State Farm
There isn't much to dislike. I guess one thing that would be nice is to have lower premiums - especially when you rarely file claims. But that is true of any insurance company.
State Farm
The only dislike as stated above in the scoring is that I would not want to be contacted so much about other insurance needs and services that they offer and want us to sign up for. No other complaints besides being a little nagging.
I think that you get what you pay for. They have very good customer service with agents who take the time to explain things to me in a way that I understand. Their coverage is enough that I am not carrying more than I need yet it is enough that I feel comfortable in the event something would happen.
Not a fan of their name, the website as well and app are very annoying too. And the app is not free which is a pain.
Liberty Mutual
They are a good company with great customer service, a wide variety of policy offerings, and pricing that is fair and affordable. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new insurance provider.
State Farm
I recommend this company to people because I know they will be happy with the service. a lot of other insurance companies are scams.
State Farm
Yes, I would recommend them, my experience using their services went well. I've also experienced making a claim on their auto side and everything went great as well.
Farmer's Insurance
I do not dislike anything about my insurance company. They have handled everything professionally and I have no complaints about them.
It is a great company. People are patient there. They answer your questions and understand what they are doing.
Farmer's Insurance
I enjoy that I am treated with importance and that the provider cares about maintaining an intimate relationship with me.
there are no major reasons to dislike this company yet there are some more improvements can be made
